THOMAS FENTON'S BEST SELLING BOOK

Authored by Hollywood horror screenwriting veteran Thomas Fenton, whose credits include work on the Saw and I Spit On Your Grave horror franchises, The Scream Writer's Handbook offers a 10-step approach to writing a screenplay—from initial idea to completed first draft.

Whether you're an aspiring screenwriter, a student, a horror fan, or seeking to ignite your creativity, this book will do the trick!

The cover of Thomas Fenton's best selling book.

I thought this book was absolutely excellent. Each chapter has a specific goal, and the book’s concepts are communicated very clearly. I also really appreciate the questions/suggestions at the end of each chapter.

There aren’t many books on writing horror screenplays, so this helps fill a great void.

I do wish the book were longer, and the book needs another proofreader/editor as there are numerous spelling/grammar mistakes. The high quality of the content makes the spelling mistakes even more egregious.

This book belongs on the bookshelf of ANY screenwriter interested in horror.

Regardless of your experience level as a screen writer, you will take away some valuable lessons and practical tips.
Thomas is practical. He walks the reader through a set of steps that make sense and that any writer can do.
He is also hilarious. The writing is laced with timely jokes that make the points stick.
No matter where you are in your journey, this guide is one that belongs in your hands.
It will be a reference on my shelf that I will keep coming back to.
